  • In case I get hit by a bus or something (not planning to but you never know), I'm publishing a stripped down open source version of the GCM Launcher that can generate customizable random scenarios. It doesn't have the persistent campaign part of GCM that would take a lot of rework to run offline.

    I don't know if anyone will use this, and that's fine. At least if the GCM website goes down you can still create random battles with this.

    Feel free to modify and redistribute however you want.

    Binary and mods: (you can run this on its own with an installation of SOWGB and generate scenarios)

    Source code and data:

    Also on github with a readme:

    Also try the singleplayer carryover campaign

    GCM = Garnier's Campaign Mod = www.sowmp.com

    This offline scenario generator is a separate thing, if it's not obvious what it is you probably don't need it, so don't worry. :)

    Where do you place it?

    To use the scenario generator, you can place it anywhere on your computer AFAIK. I usually keep it in the NorbSoftDev or Matrix Games folder where SOW is.

  • I been asking for a Scenario Generator for "stock" SOW for years, since SOW came out, I'm willing to pay for it, and this is my interest, it's needed. otherwise the game get's boring wwith just the Sandbox. Putting threads in this SOW forum that does not relate to SOW confuses some of us...

  • Have you tried the GCM singleplayer campaign?
    www.norbsoftdev.net/forum/modifications/44306-gcm-singleplayer-campaign#44306

    This has the same gameplay as that, except there's no carryover, you just choose a bunch of options for an independent random scenario. But there's no video tutorial for this so you'd have to figure out how to use it.

  • @Garnier: I have been tinkering with this great offline package you made, and I am wondering if there is an option which would allow to take command of a Brigade instead of the default control of a division?

    Thanks again for the util.
